Kero underquilt (Climashield®)

The Kero underquilt is designed for three-season use. It protects you in Nordic weather conditionsfrom spring to autumn.
The underquilt in a hammock functions similarly to a sleeping pad in tent camping: it insulates the sleeper from the cold coming from below.
The underquilt can be considered almost essential for a camping hammock, even in the summer months in the Nordic regions.
Kero underquilt is designed to fit perfectly with the Finnish-made Kero camping hammock with the side zippers. With the zippers, the underquilt stays securely in place and won’t slide around. The warm air below also does not escape from the sides because the zippers ensure a completely sealed side. You can also adjust airflow as needed under the hammock using the adjustment cords located at the ends of the underquilt.
The underquilt is insulated with a synthetic Climashield® APEX -insulation. The ends of the underquilt also feature additional insulation (draft collar), allowing for the most snug and efficient installation possible. The outer fabric surface has fluorine-free Rudolf Bionic Finish® Eco treatment that makes the fabric water repellent and is manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner.
The stuff sack is an oversized dry sack made from polyurethane-coated ripstop nylon. The stuff sack can fit both the Kero camping hammock and the underquilt together, so there’s no need to detach the underquilt from the hammock! We recommend keeping the underquilt attached to the hammock to prevent the zipper pulls from getting lost during your trip. The stuff sack can be closed in two different ways and can also be used as a storage bag, for example, attached to a tree trunk.
Kero underquilt is available in two different insulation thicknesses, Climashield® APEX 200 g/m2 with a minimum operating temperature of around -5 °C or Climashield® APEX 100 g/m2 with a minimum operating temperature of around +5 °C. Please note that the minimum operating temperature may vary from person to person. By using 200 g/m2 and 100 g/m2 underquilts on top of each other, you can achieve an operating temperature of up to about -15 °C!

Aluspeitto on suunniteltu siten, että se kiinnittyy täydellisesti vetoketjuilla Kero retkiriippumattoon. Lisävarusteena on saatavilla lisäksi aluspeiton vetoketjun lisäosat, joilla aluspeiton saa kiinnitettyä kiinnityspisteisiin tai muiden valmistajien riippumattoihin.
Lisäksi päissä on nyörikiristimet joilla voit sulkea tai avata aluspeiton päädyt jos haluat hieman lisätä ilmankiertoa allasi.
Aluspeiton päällysmateriaalina on vettä hylkivä, fluoriton Rudolf Bionic Finish Eco –käsitelty, 20D ripstop nylon. Eristeenä on synteettinen Climashield® APEX. Täytteellä on painoonsa nähden erittäin hyvä lämmöneristävyys. Synteettinen täyte ei ole myöskään niin arka kosteudelle kuin esimerkiksi untuva, joten sen lämmöneristävyys säilyy hyvänä myös kosteammissa olosuhteissa. Aluspeiton päissä on lisäksi lämpökaulukset, joiden avulla päädyt saa suljettua tiiviiksi. Synteettinen täyte myös kuivuu nopeasti.
Aluspeitto pakkautuu pieneen kokoon omaan ylisuureen kuivapussiin. Pakkauspussiin mahtuu myös Kero retkiriippumatto, johon aluspeitto on kiinnitettynä. Pakkauspussia voi käyttää leiriolosuhteissa myös säilytyspussina esimerkiksi puun runkoon ripustettuna! Suosittelemme säilyttämään aluspeiton kiinnitettynä retkiriippumattoon retkien ajan, näin vetoketjun kelkat eivät katoa!

Kuivaa aluspeitto huolellisesti käytön jälkeen. Säilytä aluspeittoa avattuna esimerkiksi hengariin ripustettuna tai pakkauspussissa, siten että pakkauspussin suu jää avoimeksi Näin tuote säilyy ilmavana ja paremmin eristävänä pidempään. Älä säilytä aluspeittoa kompressoituna pakkauspussissa!
Hyvä tuuletus ja kuivaus käytön jälkeen riittää useimmiten huoltotoimenpiteeksi retkien jälkeen. Pienet likatahrat voi pyyhkiä kostealla liinalla miedolla pesuaineella.
Aluspeiton voi pestä isossa pyykinpesukoneessa 30 asteen hienopesuohjelmalla nestemäisellä Nikwax Tech Wash -pesuaineella. Aluspeitto saa täyttää kuivana maksimissaan 1/3 osan pesukoneesta. Ei saa käyttää jauhemaista pesuainetta eikä huuhteluaineita. Ei linkousta! Kuivaus isossa rumpukuivaimessa matalassa lämpötilassa useaan kertaan. Kuivauskertojen välissä täytteen pöyhintä.
Käyttämällä Nikwax pesu- ja kyllästystuotteita, pidennät merkittävästi varusteiden käyttöikää.
Kuivaa retkiriippumatto huolellisesti käytön jälkeen. Säilytä kuivassa ja lämpimässä paikassa, UV-säteilyn ulottumattomissa.
Hyvää tuuletus ja kuivaus käytön jälkeen riittää useimmiten huoltotoimenpiteeksi retkien jälkeen. Pienet likatahrat voi pyyhkiä kostealla liinalla miedolla pesuaineella.
Retkiriippumaton voi pestä käsin 30 asteisessa vedessä miedossa pesuaineessa. Käytettävä nestemäistä pesuiainetta. Ei saa käyttää jauhemaista pesuainetta eikä huuhteluaineita.
Vaihtoehtoisesti pesu Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash -pesusuihkeella, jonka jälkeen käsittely Nikwax Tent & Gear Solarproof -kyllästeellä. Käyttämällä Nikwax pesu- ja kyllästystuotteita, pidennät merkittävästi varusteiden käyttöikää.
Vetoketjun hampaat voi pestä hammasharjalla käyttäen mietoa käsitiskiaineliuosta.
Ilmakuivaus.
UV-säteily haurastuttaa tekniset kankaat nopeasti, älä koskaan jätä aluspeittoa pitkäksi aikaa ulkoilmaan, vaan pakkaa aluspeitto aina omaan pakkauspussiin käytön jälkeen. Takuu ei korvaa UV-säteilyn aiheuttamaa kankaiden haurastumisesta johtuvaa rikkoutumista. Suosittelemme lisäksi puhdistamaan aluspeiton UV-suojaa sisältävällä pesuaineella ja kyllästtämään aluspeiton UV-suojaa sisältävällä kyllästysaineella vähintään kerran vuodessa.
